Hi there. My name is Joseph Comte and I’m the Technical Director for MDSA. I was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, moved to Winnipeg as a toddler and was raised here. I’ve been on the MDSA board for a long time and I’ve been an athlete under MDSA since 1985. I was involved on the Winnipeg Deaf Slo-Pitch board for quite a while and I’ve been on the Manitoba Deaf Curling Club board for some time as well.
I played slo-pitch with the Blue Stars from 1985-2007. I’ve been curling since high school and have won several Deaf provincial championships (MDC), several Deaf national championships (CDCC) and I was a silver medalist at the Deaflympics in 2015. I’ve also been playing darts since 2000.
