1st Canadian Deaf Funspiel in Morris, MB

MDSA Members,

As you may already know on June 14-15-16, 2019, the Manitoba Deaf Sports Association along with the Provincial Deaf Sports Associations are invited to the grand celebration of the new National Deaf Curling Program at the Cargill Curling Training Centre, in Morris Manitoba.

There will be several activities, including the 1st Canadian Deaf FunSpiel and the Mixed Doubles (Co-ed teams of 2 players) – please see attached flyer.

For this event, we invite our Manitoba curling players to celebrate and take part to the event with us.

Friday June 14, 2019
Arrival of players from outside of Manitoba

Saturday June 15, 2019
8:30-11:15am Practice and Double Mix Teams Set up
11:30-12:15pm Lunch and welcome presentation by CDSA and CCTC
12:30–5:30pm 1st Canadian Deaf FunSpiel Double mix
5:45-6:30pm Dinner
6:30-6:45pm Tribute to former Manitoba athletes, presentation by CDSA
6:45-7:00pm Introduction of the 2 National Teams (M & W)
7:30-9:00pm Exhibition game between both National Teams

Sunday June 16, 2019
8:30-12:00 Finals of the 1st Canadian Deaf FunSpiel Double mix

Administrative Procedures:
All teams’ registrations (PDSAs including MDSA) are required to register with CDSA, and this, by email to gigi.fiset@assc-cdsa.com and mdsapresident72@gmail.com by May 10th, 2019

Registration is free (no cost).

MDSA’s curlers are responsible for their own transportation and other necessary expenses during the weekend of June 14-15-16, 2019.
